Marshall Aanestad, DVM

Dr. Aanestad is a 2nd generation veterinarian (Erik Aanestad, DVM - ISU 1989) and the owner of the Athens Veterinary Clinic. He completed his undergraduate education at Lincoln Memorial University before earning his Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from The Ohio State University College of Veterinary Medicine in 2020. Dr. Aanestad loves working with both large and small animals. His interests include surgery and ophthalmology. He is currently a member of the Ohio Veterinary Medical Association (OVMA), American Association of Bovine Practitioners (AABP), American Association of Equine Practitioners (AAEP) and the American Heartworm Society (AHS). He also holds certifications in Low Stress Handling and RECOVER CPR Training.

Katie, RVT

Katie earned her Bachelor’s in Veterinary Medical Technology from Lincoln Memorial University in 2014. Since then, Katie has worked at practices in Montana and Ohio while becoming proficient in small animal dentistry and surgical preparation. Katie’s interests include neonatal care and shelter medicine. Katie has taken several certification courses in Low Stress Handling.
